Major Step Forward for The New Forest Show In 2009 The Show season is upon us, new and exciting changes are planned at the New Forest & Hampshire County Show (28th, 29th, 30th July 2009). The Show is extending from 3 rings to 4 which allows the introduction of new equine classes including HOYS Leading Rein of Show Hunter Type, BSPS Working Hunter, Osborne Refrigeration BDS National Championship Qualifier, Restricted Open Working Hunter, Maxi Cob. The re-introduction of stabling for all horse competitors is also planned, stables are to be separated from the horse box park in a secure complex with a stable manager on hand 24/7. This should address concerns that the return of stables with bring back past unsavoury behaviour once seen in the lorry box park. With extra warm up areas and improved access to all the rings, the show is taking a major step forward towards supplying competitors with facilities becoming of a County Show. The Show does not clash with either the Royal Welsh or the Royal International Horse both of which take place before the New Forest & Hampshire County Show so all classes will run as 2008 with the additional new classes added.
