NPS WINTER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Shows between 1st September 2009 and 31st March 2010 are invited to hold
 Qualifying Rounds for our Winter Championships.
 The Finals of these Championships will be held at the NPS Spring Festival On Saturday 24th April 2010.

          WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITIONS

New for 2009/10 the NPS is introducing a Junior Ridden Competition, open to registered M&M, part bred and Show Ponies / Show Hunter Ponies.  The existing competitions are open to registered Mountain and Moorland ponies, with the exception of the Young Rider Championship, which will now be open to all those competing in the new Junior Ridden classes. 

These competitions are open to NPS Members and Non-Members but Non-Members will need to become Adult Showing Members to enter the finals at the NPS Spring Festival.  In the case of the Young Rider Championship the riders will also need to become either Junior or Adult members of the NPS.

  2. NPS / FIRLE STUD M&M NOVICE RIDDEN 
  3. NPS / HIRSTMUND STUD M&M PURE NOVICE RIDDEN
  4. NPS / T.C TACK & THINGS M&M LEAD REIN
  5. NPS M&M FIRST RIDDEN
  6. NPS / CHECKLEYBANK M&M NOVICE LEAD REIN
  7. NPS / CHECKLEYBANK M&M NOVICE FIRST RIDDEN
  8. NPS JUNIOR RIDDEN - OPEN TO REGISTERED M&M PONIES, PART BREDS AND SHOW PONIES / SHOW HUNTER PONIES.  AT THE FINAL THE CLASSES WILL BE SPLIT.  QUALIFYING ROUNDS TO BE SPLIT INTO 2 CLASSES I) PONIES NOT EXCEEDING 138CM AND RIDERS NOT TO HAVE ATTAINED THEIR 16TH BIRTHDAY BEFORE 1ST JANUARY IN THE CURRENT YEAR  II) PONIES EXCEEDING 138 CM BUT NOT EXCEEDING 148CM (EXCEPT FOR DALES AND WELSH D) RIDERS NOT TO HAVE ATTAINED THEIR 18TH BIRTHDAY PRIOR TO 1ST JANUARY IN THE CURRENT YEAR.
