Non-registered Equine Passports
Eligibility - The NPS issues Non-registered Equine Passports (pink covers) for ponies, horses and foals. They must not be eligible for registration in the British Riding Pony Stud Book or in the Stud Book of a registered Native Breed Society and must not have been issued with an Equine Passport from any other Passport Issuing Organisation.
The NPS does not issue Non-registered passports for stallions but will issue Non-registered passports for colts which require a passport prior to gelding. The owner must agree to geld the colt as soon as possible but definitely by the time it is two years of age.
Showing - Ponies with Non-registered passports are not eligible for entry in NPS classes. However, they may be shown with the British Show Pony Society, Ponies Association (UK) or the British Show Hack, Cob & Riding Horse Association, provided that the pony fulfils those Societies' own showing regulations.
